Bill Appleby

Since the autobiography below, Bill has just about completed an Agriculture Diploma in Winnipeg at the U of M. He's busy farming when not in classes. Perhaps if things slow down at the farm, he'll write his own update for this. I'm sure, however, that he'd much rather show you the farm than write about it.

My Name is Bill Appleby, I'm seventeen and have lived on my farm near Steinbach all my life. I attended Woodlawn Elementry School, Steinbach Junior High, and am currently at Steinbach Regional Secondary School or the SRSS.

I'm nearly finished with school now but I'm not quite sure what i want to do when i'm done. Farming has been my life and I love it especially at my home, but I would like to try a few more things. For instance right now I am trying to earn my PPL or Private Pilot license, which is really fun and also involves learning some very interesting concepts.

I am also a scout, well actually, a venturer but they're kinda the same thing. It is a lot more fun than people think it is. I've had some of my best memories on canoe and camping trips with the people I consider to be my best friends. I've seen bears, built boats, seen some of the most beautiful areas in canada swam in the Atlantic ocean and had an awesome trip to the mountains this year.

This summer (of 2006), I'm intending on taking a trip to Europe with some friends. We're going to backpack around the continent together. We've been talking about it for a while now, and I'm hoping to learn about the different countries and make some lasting memories.
