Bill Appleby

My name is Bill Appleby. At the moment I'm 21 and live in Steinbach, Manitoba where I farm with my family on our diary. I finished my agricultural diploma and have been working full time on the dairy for a year and a half now. It has been fun despite the weather, and every day I find out there is something else that I didn't know, but I don't mind for the most part. It feels good to be out of school and learning while working instead of learning while sitting on my rear end.

I'm hoping to get a job abroad during the winter, to learn about agriculture, ag policy, and farmers in a different part of the world. I want to bring something useful home while having a bit of fun traveling.

I don't have a lot of time for hobbies these days but I still like to get together with my old friends and go camping from time to time. Besides that I just keep on trying to learn something new.
